Jeffree Charles’s radio journey began in Cleveland, Ohio at the age of 21. 93.1 WZAK was where Jeffree honed his craft, first as a Board Op and later as the full-time evening personality for 13 years on the same station. Jeffree was well known as the host of his back-to-back shows “Pillow Talk” followed by “For Lovers Only” 6 nights a week. Jeffree would actually do 3 stints at WZAK in 16 years and hosted Middays for 3 years.
Jeffree spent a few of those years at the NAC/Smooth Jazz Station WNWV 107.3 “THE WAVE.” Jeffree Charles would bring his hosting talents to his birth home of Atlanta and starting part-time and eventually Full-Time host of Evenings “Slow Jams” on WALR KISS 104.7 and later KISS 104.1..Jeffree is a versatile talent who co-hosted a syndicated Television show (2002-2005) called “THE INDUSTRY’ with Lisa Woo, who was married to Keith Sweat at the time..Jeffree left Radio as a host and later did traffic on WALR, WSB TV AND RADIO as well as many other stations with Westwood One.
Jeffree Charles left radio for 10 years and became a Certified Special Needs Teacher for 3 different districts, retiring as the pandemic hit. Jeffree has also been a singer, songwriter, and stage performer for over 30 years with original music.
