Chilli and Matthew Take Love to the Screen
Love is definitely in the air — and on location — for Chilli of TLC and actor Matthew Lawrence. The couple, who’ve been going strong since 2022, just announced their very first professional project together: co-hosting Second Chance Love, a brand-new unscripted romance series premiering January 1 on Hallmark+.
And baby… not only are they hosting, they’re serving as executive producers too. We love love and we love a power move!
The series takes viewers all the way to Sardinia, Italy, where five former couples — ages ranging from their 30s to their 70s — reunite to see if that old flame still flickers. Some of these exes haven’t been together in five years… others in forty. Talk about unfinished business!
Over a two-week journey filled with nostalgia, reflection, intimate dates, and a whole lot of truth-telling, Chilli and Matthew guide the couples through the emotional process of looking back at what once was — and deciding if there’s still something worth exploring.
Matthew calls it a “Hallmark love story waiting to happen,” and honestly, with this setting and this lineup? He might be right.
Chilli added that this project is especially meaningful to her — not just because she’s doing it with her partner, but because she’s intentional about representation and brand alignment. When Chilli steps into a project, it’s going to reflect her values, her heart, and her voice. That’s why fans are already cheering this matchup on.
And let’s not forget: these two became Instagram-official in late 2022 with that adorable video of them dancing in matching pajamas to A-ha’s “Take On Me.” So a little romance onscreen? It feels right on time.
